Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral fellow to work under a project funded by the Macao Science and Technology Development Fund (FDCT) entitled “FIGHT – Hormonal, pheromonal and genomic regulation of aggression in a fish model“. The candidate is expected to devote full-time to research in behavioural genomics under the context of this project.
Qualifications required: We are looking for a candidate with a solid background in biology and bioinformatics. Previous experience in molecular biology and with fish models will also be valued. This position requires a PhD in Biology, Bioinformatics or related fields and a good publication track record in the area.
- Perform independent experiments on behavioural genomics and similar fields, including data collection and analysis;
- Report results in conferences and scientific publications;
- Participate in other activities of the lab, such as science promotion events or internal meetings.
Conditions: 40 hours per week, schedule to be agreed with the supervisor (Professor David Gonçalves). Salary, 20.000,00 MOP/month. Starting date, December 28, 2018. Maximum duration 24 months (non-renewable).
Selection criteria: Publications in scientific journals and presentations in international scientific meeting in the area of behaviour and genomics: 40%; Academic background: 40%; Interview and motivation letter: 20%.
