Author Instructions for Talk and Poster Preparation
Preparing your talk
For oral talk speakers, please follow these guidelines to prepare your talk:
- Time management: 15-minute presentation, 5-minute Q&A
- Supported format: PowerPoint (pptx) or PDF
- Submission: Please arrive to the session room at least 20 minutes earlier before your session begins, copy your presentation file to the designated computer in the session, and try running it.
- Talk promotion: You are welcome to submit your talk (in PDF format) to post in the Symposium webpage. Please submit to esst2023@usj.edu.mo by 23 Oct 2023 at 5pm.
Preparing your poster
For poster presenters, please follow these guidelines to prepare your poster:
- Poster dimension: Our poster board has the format 100 cm x 250 cm. Hence, we recommend a common portrait poster size of 36 inches wide by 48 inches high (i.e., 91.44 cm x 121.92 cm).
- Poster printing: Printing is not provided in the venue. Please bring with you the poster to the Symposium.
- Setting up poster: The poster boards will be available on 25 Oct (Wed), afternoon. Or if you arrive to the Symposium only in the first day, make sure you arrive early to put up your poster in the morning between 8:00 – 9:00 am. Stick your poster at the board assigned with your poster ID.
- Poster presentation: There are totally 3 poster sessions for presenting your posters (2 in the first day, 1 in the second day). You are recommended to present your poster in all sessions.
- Poster promotion: You are welcome to submit your poster (in JPEG image format) to post in the Symposium webpage. Please submit to esst2023@usj.edu.mo by 23 Oct 2023 at 5pm.
